First Annual Quilting Show and Pattern Swap

On Wednesday, September 12, 2001, The Grant Friends of the Library held our first annual Quilting Show and Pattern Swap at the Grant Public Library. There were about 53 quilts, plus about ten baby quilts, and some croche pieces. The oldest quilt was made sometime around 1850. The quilting clubs from Scottsboro said tey would bring more pieces next year. 48 people registered, but there were probably quite a few more people there who didn't register.
